Kaneme
Terms of use
Last updated: September 12, 2026 · Publisher: Yiriwa LLC
These terms describe how Kaneme may be used, who owns submitted content and the voice profile, and what its measurements may—and may not—claim.
1. Acceptance
Using Kaneme, published by Yiriwa LLC, means accepting these terms. They apply to the web application, REST API, and MCP server.
Kaneme is independent from other services published by Yiriwa LLC. Using Kaneme does not create an account or marketing consent for those services.
2. Account and security
Access to the service requires a personal account. The customer is responsible for keeping their access methods confidential and for actions performed from their account.
API keys are personal. They are displayed only once when created, stored in hashed form, and may be revoked at any time. Any use made with a valid key is deemed to originate from its holder; a compromised key must be revoked immediately.
The account is intended for individual use. Sharing one account among several people or reselling it is not permitted.
3. Customer content and ownership
The customer retains full ownership of the texts submitted to the service, the voice profile derived from them, and content produced with the help of the service.
The customer grants Yiriwa LLC a license strictly limited to the technical operation of the service: hosting their content, calculating and retaining their voice profile, and carrying out the operations they request. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted.
Customer texts are not used to train a model intended for other customers and are not added to a shared corpus. The measurement engine is never recalibrated on text produced by artificial intelligence: this rule prevents the measurement from progressively validating its own output.
The customer warrants that they hold the rights to the texts they submit. When they build, measure, or use a third party’s voice, they also warrant that they have that person’s consent or authorization. Using the service to impersonate another person’s writing identity is prohibited.
4. What the measurement says—and what it does not say
Kaneme produces scores and probabilities calibrated on a reference corpus. These results are statistical indicators, not proof.
The service abstains from returning a verdict when the conditions for a reliable measurement are not met. An abstention is not a service failure: it expressly indicates that no reliable conclusion can be made.
- Kaneme is not a general-purpose artificial-intelligence detector and does not claim to identify which model produced a text.
- Kaneme does not make text “undetectable” and must not be presented as doing so.
- A Kaneme result may not, by itself, support an accusation, disciplinary sanction, dismissal, or judicial decision.
- The free reading calculated without reference text counts markers of automated style; it never attributes authorship and returns no score. The free accountless authorship verdict, by contrast, requires reference texts and returns a calibrated probability—an indicator, never proof, within the limits stated above.
5. Prohibited uses
Prohibited uses include bypassing quotas or technical limitations, automating the creation of free accounts, attempting to extract or reconstruct service models or corpora, degrading service availability, or using the service to produce unlawful, defamatory, or misleading content about its author’s identity.
Yiriwa LLC may apply rate limits and suspend access whose use threatens the security, availability, or integrity of the service.
6. Availability and changes
The service evolves. Features, models, and thresholds may be modified or replaced. When a change affects how a result is produced, the public documentation is updated accordingly.
Any material change to these terms will be brought to customers’ attention before it takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
7. Termination and deletion
The customer may stop using the service and request deletion of their account at any time. Deletion results in the removal of their content and voice profile within the periods stated in the privacy policy.
Yiriwa LLC may terminate access for a serious breach of these terms under the conditions set out in the sales terms.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, subject to any more protective mandatory provisions in the consumer customer’s country of residence.
